SYTE is an Incorporated Association (a not-for profit entity – the company is allowed to make a ‘profit’, but this profit cannot be distributed to members).
The company must operate according to its Constitution, under state legislation. (You’re welcome to read it sometime, ask the Office for a copy.)
Ultimate legal and financial responsibility for the company rests with the Board, who meet approximately every six weeks.
Board members are elected at the Annual General Meeting, and are sometimes co-opted at different times throughout the year to fill casual vacancies.
All positions are occupied on a voluntary basis.

Members of SYTE are welcome to attend a Board meeting as a guest, if they are interested in learning how the company is run, or if they have a specific issue they would like to raise. Talk to the Executive Officer about this.
